LSC-Kingwood Coyotes one hit and save into World Series

Talk about trump players leading in strikeouts, hitting homers, sweet saves and a rave record, it is no wonder the Lone Star College-Kingwood Coyotes find themselves reaping the rewards of another groundbreaking baseball season.

If the Coyotes bust it out of the park in just one of three games in their season-ender against University of Texas at San Antonio [UT-SA], they advance to the National College Baseball Association [NCBA] Division II - District VII World Series at Dubois County, Indiana held May 16-20.

Feelings mixed on graduation to be held at church

As courses come to a close, some students are finishing their last semester. They will be graduating - and, for the second year, for students at the public Lone Star College -- North Harris, that will happen in a church.

Commencement ceremonies are scheduled for May 9 at 7 p.

Two new buildings at stake in bond election

North Harris would get two new buildings under plans by the Lone Star College System in its second attempt in two years to get a bond referendum passed.

The board of trustees has called an election for May 10 to elect trustees and to consider a $420 million bond it says is needed to satisfy the needs of 11 school districts and almost 1.

Cafeteria closes to cook up its first big changes

Two men shot in a parking lot neighboring LSC - Greenspoint Center in what LSC - NH officials believe was a "gang issue."

The shot men were reported to have come onto LSC property after 10 p.m. and "knocked on a door" at Greenspoint, said LSC officials, apparently "running away" earlier in April.

Lady Lions Volleyball update

On March 26, 2008, the LSC-North Harris College Lady Lions played a close, ferocious game against the University of Houston Downtown (UHD) Waves. Throughout the night, both sides traded fierce back-to-back blows. As time changes, so did the score. Our Lady Lions lost another heartbreaker, dwindling hopes for a playoff spot.
